Devin Yake, 28, of Conestoga, was stopped, along with his pitbull, in the 200 block of Willow Valley Drive in West Lampeter Township at 12:38 a.m. on June, 23, PSP Lancaster Trooper Wagner detailed in the release.
He was found to be under the influence and had methamphetamine, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia in his sock, Wagner stated in the release.
He also was discovered to have active warrants for fleeing and eluding issued by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
The dog, "turned out to be a friendly pitbull. The dog willingly took a ride in a patrol car." and was returned to a "responsible party" at Yoke's home address, Wagner wrote.
For this incident, Yake has been charged with numerous summary traffic offenses and three misdemeanors for DUI and drug offenses, according to his latest court docket. His preliminary arraignment for this case is set before Judge David L. Ashworth at 8:45 a.m. on Aug. 8.
Yake has a record of multiple counts of felony theft, felony forgery, misdemeanor theft, misdemeanor fleeing, and numerous traffic citations.
